Taekwondo,
which roughly translates as the way of hand and foot, is one of
the fastest growing martial arts in the world. Officially introduced as
an Olympic sport in Sydney 2000, Taekwondo has roots that stretch back
to ancient Korea.
As a
member of USA Taekwondo, Inc., the national governing body for Olympic
style Taekwondo, Taekwondo West teaches
official Olympic-style sport Taekwondo, but the school also stresses
the importance of the history and traditions of this martial art. In
addition, we also pay close attention to the importantce of fitness and
self defense training to today's martial artists.
